Hemodynamically guided sclerotherapy of varicose veins

Simpler cases can be treated without surgical procedure . Sclerotherapy through injection or laser at the vein focus of the problem is made.

Patients without a large number of dilated veins, with little saphenous involvement or with previous surgery may benefit.

The procedure initially consists of a complete duplex to define from where comes the flow that is overloading the veins. the, a direct injection into the responsible vein.

Many times the elimination of the hemodynamic source of the blood already wilts good part of the veins. In cases it does not happen, we do a laser/injection sclerotherapy in the collaterals.

Unfortunately some cases may not respond well to the injection and need surgery later.
